RK MacWorld ("we", "us", "our") operates the website https://rkmacworld.shop and our physical store at Shop No 1, Indraneel Society, Trimurti Chowk, Near New Puna Bakery, Lane No 2, Bavdhan, Pune - 411021. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it and the choices you have. By using this website or messaging us on WhatsApp, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to serve you properly:

  • Enquiry details you submit - your name, email address, phone number and message when you use a contact or enquiry form on this site.
  • WhatsApp conversations - the messages, phone number and any product details you share with us when you chat with our sales team.
  • Product interest - the MacBook configuration you ask about, and the offer you clicked, so we can quote you the right machine.
  • Basic technical data - your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages you visit, collected through ordinary web server logs.
  • Public review content - Google Business reviews and Instagram posts we display, which are published by Google and Instagram and not by us.

We do not collect payment card details. Every order is confirmed and settled manually over WhatsApp, in store or by bank transfer.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry and share stock, pricing and configuration details.
  • To prepare a quotation, arrange a store visit and complete a sale if you decide to buy.
  • To share warranty, invoice and after-sales information required for a MacBook you purchased from us.
  • To improve the website, including which MacBooks and offers are most useful to visitors.
  • To send a service message about your order, warranty or a time-bound offer you asked about.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing. We share information only where it is necessary to fulfil your request, or where the law requires it.

3. Cookies and local storage

This site uses only essential storage required to make it work, such as the session cookie that keeps you signed in to the admin panel and the CSRF token that protects form submissions. We do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels or third-party analytics cookies.

  • WhatsApp messages: retained as long as needed to serve you and to meet record-keeping obligations.
  • Invoice and warranty records: retained for the period required by Indian tax and warranty law.
  • Server logs: rotated and deleted within 90 days.

5. How we protect your information

The website is served over HTTPS on production. Administrative pages are behind a login, and all form submissions are protected with CSRF tokens. Access to customer records inside our business is limited to the staff who need it to serve you. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not knowingly store information in an unnecessarily risky way.

9. Security and payment fraud

We will never ask you for your card PIN, CVV or OTP over WhatsApp, phone or email, and we will never ask you to make a payment to a personal account. If you receive such a request, do not respond - contact us directly through the numbers listed on this website.

10. Your Apple device data

We grade the condition of every MacBook we sell using standard checks such as battery health, display, keyboard, trackpad, ports and hinge condition. These checks are performed on our own hardware and no data is extracted from your personal accounts, iCloud or device content.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above always reflects the current version, and the updated policy will be published on this page.
